                       Judge Donald Coleman

Judge Coleman is a lifelong resident of the City of Detroit and a graduate of the Detroit Public Schools. He is one of nine siblings. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy and University of Detroit-Mercy Law School, respectively.

Judge Coleman has served as an educator in the Detroit Public, a Youth Program Coordinator for Wayne County, an Intern for the City of Detroit's Law Department, an assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the County of Macomb, and he was a founding partner in the law firm of Coleman & Coleman, P.C.

Judge Coleman was appointed to the 36th District Court in October 1992, elected in 1994 and re-elected in 2000. He is presently serving a six year term. Judge Coleman is also the founder and Pastor of Bara Miracle Church International, an inner city outreach church.

Judge Coleman serves on numerous boards and is involved in several community projects and organizations. He is the devoted father of three children.
